About
The Beta orchestra is designed to further orchestral skills in young musicians not yet ready to play the quartet literature. Repertoire is selected from both standard string orchestra pieces and arrangements of classical works. Music will be sent out to camp participants several weeks beforehand. Students will attend devotions, aural skills classes and sessions for further musical and technical instruction.
*Students registering for the Beta orchestra should be at Suzuki Books 2-3 level. No formal audition is required from students registering for Beta.

Below are examples/excerpts of music previously played by the Beta orchestra. Camp faculty select a variety of repertoire for the orchestras, including sacred pieces. Repertoire may be easier or more challenging than these examples, but this is an average difficulty level to help parents and teachers in determining which level is best for their student. The second page of each file is an example of a combined orchestra piece that Beta students play with the more advanced orchestras. Please email us if you have any specific questions.
