Vicki Schrauger has coached younger cellos at OCMS String Camp for close to ten years and enjoys mentoring aspiring cellists there. She received a B. A. with double majors in music and religion at what is now Cornerstone University. Vicki has enjoyed her musical participation in Lapeer Symphony Orchestra and Orion Chamber Music Society over the course of ten years, and she has taught piano, violin and vocal students privately as well as having led several church choirs. This is her third year teaching elementary music at Oakdale Academy in Waterford, MI, and this year she began teaching the beginning and advanced strings classes as well.
From Vicki ~ "With over 800 references to music in Scripture, we see that glorifying the Lord in music is an important part of worship and life, and a week set aside in the summer to cultivate a right and godly view of music helps all participants to worship and live in that way - to the glory of God."
