Lydia Carlock studied piano starting at the age of 6 with Grace Mieczkowski, and continued her studies with Mary Siciliano. She has enjoyed playing piano at her church, in her family's music ministry, and in a variety of accompanying gigs for competitions throughout the years. Lydia also has played violin since 2006 and studied with Hsiu-Hsiang Yang, Sherri Marttila, and Kimberly Kaloyanides Kennedy. She also played in the Troy Metro Symphony Orchestra for several years.
Lydia worked at Psarianos Violins for 4 years as co-sales manager and co-administration manager. She loved the opportunity to obtain more knowledge of the string world as far as maintenance and the making of the instruments. Lydia also coordinated the Michigan Association of Christian Schools Elementary Fine Arts Festival for 6 years, which usually drew 450+ students from around the state.
